Jason Birchmeier IAA

Jason Birchmeier

I have competed in archery since the age of 12 with my father leading me, teaching me, and kicking my butt along the way. Archery has brought out the best in me and helped mold me into the man I am today. Second place isn’t an option in my book; You work hard for things you want in life and you take every loss as a way to learn and grow. I strive to be the best and I want the best out of Michigan Archery.

I’d also like to make mention the woman that has been in my corner, pushing me to live out my big dreams with the I.A.A. and archery in general, my loving wife Jen Birchmeier. Jen will be working with us behind the scenes in helping us to get the association to reach new heights.

We’re looking forward to this upcoming season and the friendships it brings! Please feel free to reach out and say hello, voice your wants and needs, and let us know what you would like to see in up coming events. See you in 2024!

Sincerely,

Jason Birchmeier

Over the last 12 years C.R. LaFata has has been the life blood of the I.A.A., feeding everyone with passion for the sport and breathing new life into Michigan Archery. When people spoke he listened and helped make our community’s goals a reality. We’re grateful to call him a good friend and one hell of an ambassador for Michigan Archery.

As many of you have heard, the time has come for C.R. to pass the torch and step down from leading the I.A.A. We wish him and his family the very best and we’re happy to hold that torch firmly as new co-owners of the I.A.A., Jason Birchmeier and Rocky Cummins.

We can only hope we live up to what was built before us. Leading into the 2024 season we will continue hosting indoor 3D, indoor spot, and everyone’s favorite.. outdoor 3D! We will continue to uphold our sponsorships and, with any luck, bring on some new faces to the I.A.A.

Archery has been a passion of mine for over 30 years whether it be through hunting, 3D or indoors. The passion of competing is in my blood and has driven me in all aspects of life. It’s helped me meet new people, create life long friendships and has even touched my blended family in many ways. I love how archery has created a community for so many of us and that community feels a lot like family.
